In this tutorial we will show you how to create a simple inbound process for your warehouse from scratch using the Pinquark WMS App Builder. It will take you only about 15 minutes to configure all the screens just the way you want.
Let's get ready
Before we begin, consider how your warehouse should operate and what each internal process should look like in detail. In this tutorial, we will show you how to handle the goods-in process. You can do it differently, in a way that better suits your warehouse. Try to picture all the screens you are about to create.
1. Home screen
To create an application, go to App builder in the menu. You will see three parts: – the left one containing all screens – the middle one showing the screen currently being edited – the right one with all settings and widgets
In the following video, we show how to prepare the main screen of the application using, among other things, ready-made components.
2. Documents screen
Let's now create the document reception screen, where you will be able to select the document you want to receive. For this purpose, similarly to before, we create the document reception screen on the left, and on its right side we move on to placing settings and events. You can preview the created screen by using the central part of the „Live preview” screen.
3. Screen with the full receipt process
Now it's time for the item screens and the final quantity confirmation screen. In the video below, you will see how to prepare these two screens. Using the screen creation section as before, you will create the necessary screens, and from the component list, you will select the necessary item properties, e.g., item name, item quantity, etc...
As can be seen in the videos above, carrying out the entire receipt-issuing process is not difficult and can be easily tailored to your needs and modified very quickly.
