A significant increase in warehouse workers' efficiency, no need to hire new staff despite a rise in the number of orders, and a shortened order picking path – these are the results brought by the implementation of the PINQUARK system, which uses artificial intelligence algorithms, at H2 Dystrybucja – one of the largest Polish companies distributing office and school supplies.
The warehouse of H2 Dystrybucja – a leading distributor of school and office supplies in Poland – is located in a 3,000-square-metre hall, and the number of stock items exceeds 25,000. The warehouse handles over 11,000 orders per month, the majority of which are online orders. The dynamic growth of e-commerce led the company to decide to optimise its logistical and IT solutions by implementing a new WMS system in order to increase employee efficiency and speed up order fulfilment.
The biggest challenge
The main challenge facing the company was choosing a system that would enable the handling of various customers and specific orders. It is worth mentioning that the distributor offers a diverse range of goods – not only school and office supplies, but also household chemicals, office furniture, IT equipment, and food products, which require strict batch control.
To meet growing market demands, we have decided to implement a new WMS system that will significantly increase order processing speed and customer service quality, while also supporting employees, helping to reduce the risk of them making mistakes, and delivering quickly measurable results in the form of increased efficiency for key warehouse processes and financial savings. When choosing the new system, we considered as many as nine solutions offered by various vendors. With complete confidence, we chose the PINQUARK WMS. It is a system that uses artificial intelligence algorithms, is cloud-based, allows for full integration with our company's existing warehouse automation and ERP systems, and also offers simple solutions that do not require us to invest in advanced IT infrastructure.

Implementation results
The use of the innovative implementation method offered by the PINQUARK system enabled H2 Dystrybucja to implement the new WMS efficiently. The system delivered satisfactory results right from the first phase of the project. The warehouse currently processes over 600 orders a day. Order fulfilment times are 20% faster than they were with the previous system. The PINQUARK WMS supports all warehouse operations, including determining the optimal order-picking routes – initial tests have already shown that their length has been reduced by 25%, which directly translates into a significant increase in the efficiency of the order picking process itself. Thanks to the solutions offered by the new WMS, the company has also significantly improved the efficiency of its warehouse operations in areas such as: communication with customers and business partners, goods receipt and distribution, stocking, packing, dispatch handling including courier services, returns and complaints management, and stock-taking.
The PINQUARK WMS has given us new opportunities for development and optimisation that were previously beyond our reach. The fact that the results we achieved after implementing the new system significantly exceeded our targets is also impressive
